However, for purposes of showcasing some examples of our previous accomplishments, please find below some descriptive narrations of what we have done before.

ELECTORAL CAMPAIGNS

CONGRESSIONAL ELECTION

Our principal was a political neophyte (with zero background in politics) who decided to run against a two-term Representative (and also former Councilor) who was on the way to a third and last term in Congress. All the Mayors of the district, except for one, were on the side of the popular incumbent who was the official candidate of the ruling party.

 

ISTRATEHIYA was engaged to do strategic communications (survey analysis, strategy formulation, message formulation, platform formulation, branding development, candidate coaching, and speechwriting, among other services) as well as political operations (organizational audit and machinery development, and personnel selection, among other services).

 

In the three-way contest, the principal got a little over 50% of the votes cast, around 6% more than the incumbent.

 

During the first term of the principal, ISTRATEHIYA continued to provide both internal support services (bill drafting, strategic planning, policy formulation, project and program development, speechwriting, and newswriting, among other services) and external support services (digital campaign, media relations, liaison and lobbying).

 

In the four-way contest for reelection, the principal got more than 63% of the votes cast, a clear landslide with the nearest opponent only garnering less than 17% of the votes cast

SENATORIAL ELECTION

Our principal was a political veteran, having completed three terms at the House of Representatives, and one term in the Senate.

 

In the campaign for reelection, a whirlwind of attacks was launched and, consequently, brought down the survey ratings to almost dangerous levels, considering the previous performance in the last election, and considering the latest performance prior to the barrage and deluge of negative publicity.

 

ISTRATEHIYA was engaged, in the homestretch of the campaign period to help respond to the emergency, to do strategic communications (media monitoring, strategy formulation, message formulation, branding development, newswriting, and media relations, among other services) as well as internal support services (reputation and brand management, issues and concerns management, and crisis management, among other services).

 

The political explosion, and implosion, was averted, and the principal went on to regain the pre-crisis survey ratings, then eventually surpassed the survey results when election day came.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS

LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Our principal was a local government official who was against a proposed law affecting the province.

 

The bill was overwhelmingly approved on third and final reading at the House of Representatives (229 in favor and only one against). Four out of the five Representatives of the province supported the initiative. 69% of the local chief executives supported the move.

 

ISTRATEHIYA was engaged, when the counterpart bill in the Senate was about to be deliberated on by the concerned committee, to do strategic communications (media monitoring, strategy formulation, message formulation, branding development, newswriting, and media relations, among other services) as well as external support services (liaison and lobbying, among other services).

 

After more than a year of push, and pull, and numerous turnarounds, the proposed bill failed to pass the Senate, despite the seemingly impossible task of overcoming the more than 99.99% support it got from the House of Representatives.

NATIONAL GOVERNMENT

Our principal was suddenly appointed as the head of a critical national government agency after the occupant quit his post amidst accusations and controversies less than two months into office. 

 

ISTRATEHIYA was hurriedly engaged to do internal support services (strategic planning, policy formulation, project and program development, speechwriting, and newswriting, among other services) as well as external support services (liaison and lobbying, among other services).

 

Immediately, a masterplan was developed, and it was cascaded to all the offices and personnel of the agency nationwide, in the process inspiring and uniting the workforce to become cohesive and effective. 

 

Institutional reforms were implemented and are still being implemented. Real change was experienced and it continues to impact the present. The mandate of the agency was fulfilled according to purpose, but with greater involvement and commitment of its officers and staff, especially those in the frontlines.

CORPORATE AFFAIRS

BUSINESS

Our principal was affected by a national government policy that was very clearly (although it was a subject of intense argumentation and debate) inconsistent with the international commitments of the country. Despite persistent efforts at rectifying this error through the implementing agency concerned, nothing came out of all the administrative and legal proceedings. To be sure, the matter was a complicated and polarizing domestic and foreign issue. Without a doubt, one side or the other will suffer some kind of damage or injury as a result of the final and official decision of the government.

 

ISTRATEHIYA was engaged to do internal support services (media monitoring, issues and concerns management, crisis management, and newswriting, among other services) as well as external support services (digital campaign, media relations, events organizing, community relations and social preparation, and liaison and lobbying, among other services).

 

After almost a year of intense sparring that got the public institutions issuing conflicting statements, and private groups and individuals professing opposing positions, and the government and the private sector between and among themselves and against each other clashing on each and every point or collection of points, the subject was finally put to rest by a force majeure.

 

In any case, while the debate is still ongoing, the principal was already able to achieve the objective of educating everybody so that the matter may be completely understood, while at the same time preventing the implications and consequences of the continued enforcement of the said policy.

NON-PROFIT

Our principal was a foundation dedicated to the promotion, development and enhancement of a sports program that will support a national team.

 

It was a challenging ordeal, to say the least, for the group to help, assist and support a team the sport of which is not the most popular in the country. The top sport is chosen by 75% of the entire population. This sport is only chosen by 18%.

 

Despite an apparent increase in awareness about the sport and the team, from almost nothing to relatively something, it still had a long way to go to reach the desired level of internal support, team execution and international competitiveness.

 

ISTRATEHIYA was engaged to do internal support services (reputation and brand management, issues and concerns management, collateral materials design and production, audiovisual production, and newswriting, among other services) as well as external support services (digital campaign, media relations, events organizing, community relations and social preparation, and liaison and lobbying, among other services).

 

Soon enough, not only awareness but, also, interest, participation and involvement increased.

 

The team is now on its way to realizing its dream. Yes, not yet there, but already on the way, as more and more groups and individuals have started to pitch in.
